Growing up I was always the kid that went way too hard when it came to anything crafty. Pumpkin carving contests, book report dioramas, transforming innocent socks into fabulous outfits for my barbies. In adulthood, I channeled that passion into elaborate Halloween costumes (one year I was a Star-Gazing Lily and I hand dyed all the petals!). I made my first amigurumi, which if you don't know is the Japanese art of crocheting cute little figures, and I haven't stopped since.
Now I compete in crochet competitions, sell my pieces and my patterns, and teach crochet to others inspired to learn. With the cinematic assistance of my wonderful husband, Andrew, I also make stop motion videos features my crochet. To help build a community for a passion that can be so isolating, I founded a popular Los Angeles based fiber club where people come together for laughs, share their work and enjoy good vibes .You'll always find me with a project in my hands, and if I don't answer you right away its probably because I'm counting my stitches...
