A (not so) Still Life

The theme for the 2025 Los Angeles County Fair is 'Art Unleashed' and I decided to create a piece inspired by my dog Tanuki and his incredible ability to always recognize animals whether they are in real life or they are a cartoon on our television.

 

It is a mixed media piece using yarn, foam boards, wood scraps, hot glue, screws, plastic eyes, poly-fil, and wire.  The fiber elements are crocheted using a variety of stitches and techniques that I have learned over the last year.
